SwoopTEXT does not currently support Google Voice phone numbers. Please sign up with a cell phone number that is not associated with Google Voice. If you are not using a Google Voice number and did not receive a confirmation text, it is likely that your cell phone provider is blocking texts from short codes to your phone. This can easily reversed by contacting your service provider and requesting that they remove the block on your account. If you remove the block and continue to experience difficulties, please Contact Us so we can resolve the issue.

Please check your spam folder and ensure that SwoopTEXT@SwoopTEXT.com is on your safe list. If you completed all the registration steps, you will receive an email with a link to confirm your email address.

Yes, every aspect of SwoopTEXT is 100% opt-in and you can easily change the frequency of the texts you receive in Edit Profile.

SwoopTEXT is provided to campuses through university subscriptions, so we can only offer accounts to students at universities with a subscription. If you would like to see SwoopTEXT on your campus, please Contact Us and we will be sure to get in touch with your university's administrators to bring SwoopTEXT to you!

Since SwoopTEXT is provided through university subscriptions, at this time we can only offer accounts to those with a .EDU email address at a subscribing institution. Please check back soon as we are working to expand our product portfolio to provide group texting solutions beyond college campuses.

SwoopTEXT will sync your personal calendar every few hours with Google Calendar. At this time, the frequency is not adjustable as it is governed by Google's syncing processes which we have no control over.

We are adamant about protecting the privacy of our users. The only information we collect is name, class year, email, and phone number. This information is encrypted in our database which is hosted on commercial-grade servers with security guarantees and 99.9% uptime reliability.

The key to SwoopTEXT is that it is a completely secure communication platform. Your cell phone and email are NEVER displayed to other users on our site. This is not Facebook; you cannot view the profiles of other users. Your group memberships are completely private and the only people who will see you in a group are the other group members. When leaders message users, they only see the users' names; NOT their cell phones or emails.

As such, SwoopTEXT is a secure mechanism to manage your subscriptions to groups. Your information is more secure with us than in the hands of student leaders. Because we stand between the students and student leaders, we can guarantee that when you unsubscribe for a group, you are instantly removed from the relevant listservs and you never have to deal with individual student leaders. Using SwoopTEXT to join and follow groups is much more secure than a student activities fair, where you publicly list your personal information on a sheet of paper to get on the listserv.

Every aspect of SwoopTEXT is 100% opt-in, so you will never receive an unsolicited text. You can only be sent messages from groups in which you're participating and you can set limits on the number of texts your get on the Edit Profile.
